Casual, Creative Narragansett Dining

Named after a lifeguard chair and locals gathering spot on Narragansett Town Beach, Chair 5 is the signature restaurant at The Break — Narragansett, Rhode Island’s only boutique hotel. Chair 5 features hand-crafted, locally sourced and seasonally inspired menus prepared with simplicity and style. Click here for sample menus.

Main Restaurant
The first-floor main restaurant and bar looks out into the pool area and seats 50. Sample fresh oysters or New England’s best chowder, have a cocktail and snacks at the bar, or relax over dinner with friends.

Our small bites and lunch menu is available in our rooftop lounge where you can sip artisan cocktails, New England craft beers and boutique wines while you enjoy views of the ocean.

Experience our elevated – yet casual – beach inspired bistro and in/outdoor bar featuring a hand-crafted, locally-sourced and seasonally inspired menu. From fresh raw bar, to beach classics, to the finest charcuterie boards, you’ll enjoy the food and the surfer-chic vibe!

PLEASE NOTE:
Saturday, December 2nd – our main dining room will be closed for a fundraiser and we will not be taking reservations, however our rooftop will be open for lunch and dinner and we will have live music featuring Steve Belaus.

Sunday, December 3rd – our rooftop will be closed for a private event at 3PM. Please visit us in our main dining room for dinner from 5-10pm.

Saturday, December 30th – Our rooftop will be closed for one hour between 3-4 for a private wedding ceremony.

Stayed for three days and wished we could stay longer! Quiet, immaculate, beautiful upstairs deck/bar and Chair 5 was one of the best meals I have had in my life! The rooms were beachy modern and clean. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Very pleasant, attentive staff who went out of their way to delight us. Rooms are modern, very well equipped including a gas fireplace. Ours had a nice balcony with great views of the sunrise. Bar areas are well appointed and the drinks are generous.

The entire staff was friendly, warm, and caring. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind staying here and driving the 16 miles to Newport. It's THAT Good!

This hotel is sublime! Every corner is beautiful. We stayed here for our wedding night and came back for our one-year anniversary. Elegant, luxurious, beautiful, romantic...you do not need to even leave! So much to do! I highly recommend this as a getaway for everyone! Worth every penny! Perfection!

What a gem! Every part of this hotel has been thought through with an attention to detail rarely seen in these parts. From the Usb outlets underneath the bar to the heated floors in the bathroom and the option for an in-room iPad for use during your stay (and Apple TV).
